Tension continues to grow in Israel following an attack on Saturday by Hamas militants which led an Israeli General Nimrod into enemies hands. The 50 year old General was captured in his home, near the border alongside tens of other military men, the Hamas paraded his photos while dressed in his underwear.
Palestinian group Hamas launched terrorist attacks by firing rockets into Israel early Saturday morning. The attacks have left dozens of civilians dead and thousands injured as tension increases.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to the nation on Saturday morning after the attack, “we are at war and we will win it, the enemy will pay the price,” said Prime Minister. Israel attack came as a surprise since the country has not experienced something like that in the last 50 years. The last attack happened in 1973 on a holiday. Surprisingly 7th October is a holiday where they conduct Sukkot festivals. During this holiday the Israelites commemorate God’s protection of the children of Israel during their 40 years journey in the desert.
“What is in our hands will free all the prisoners in Israel, we captured senior officers from the occupation army. There are many Palestinians killed and many Israelis dead as well as prisoners and the battle is at it’s peak,” said Saleh Al-Arouri the deputy head of Hamas militants.
Earlier in the morning Security cabinet in Israel met to discuss the four scales they’ll use to respond to the attack, Israel military called reserved military to combine efforts to fight back the enemy. The attack seemed well organized, they arrived in Israel using different means of transport, some flew into the country, others by sea, while the rest walked in. Israel Military helped to evacuate civilians while others were hiding in the basements of their homes.
Hostages both militants and civilians are being held by gunmen in Kibbutz near Gaza boarder. Tolls of numbers are expected to rise as the war continues.
