Donald Trump Is Not The Only Candidate With Legal Troubles

Former zoo owner Joe Exotic is another candidate who currently in jail.

Former President Donald Trump is not the only presidential candidate facing legal troubles in the race for the White House for 2024.

Tiger King star Joseph Maldonado, also known as Joe Exotic, is currently running for President of the United States as he is the only candidate currently in jail.

Maldonado is serving a 21-year sentence for the violations of the Lacey Act and the Endangered Species Act including the murder-for-hire scheme to harm Carole Baskin

Both Trump and Exotic have maintained their innocence in their convictions.

Trump is currently indicted in 4 different jurisdictions related to the hush money payments, mishandling of classified documents, election inference on January 6, and the Georgia election interference.

The former president has called the indictments a political witch and accusing prosecutors creating political interference.

Allen Glover, the man that Exotic hired to carry the hit on Baskin, admitted to lying to a federal jury about the carrying the hit.

Glover stated to Exotic’s lawyer, John M. Phillips, that him and Jeff Lowe, the man who invested in the GW Zoo, plotted to kill the Netflix star with a piano wire.

There is currently nothing in the U.S. Constitution that bars both men from running for office with legal troubles including indictments, misdemeanors, and felonies.

Trump is currently dominating in the polls in the GOP primary while he has a lead in several key swing states in a hypothetical match with President Joe Biden.

“Because he was the former President of the United States and four years, he debriefed on a daily basis on our national security secrets,” said former Trump attorney Michael in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper. “Donald is the kind of guy who sell would sell that information.”

Cohen expressed concerns about the possibility of Trump being in a jail cell exposing national security secrets to prisoners.

His legal troubles have propelled Trump politically in racking up donation for his campaign since the indictment from the New York grand jury over the hush money payments.

Exotic’s notoriety from the Netflix series, “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness”, made headlines during the pandemic. He felt the documentary delusional that the documentary was streaming on the platform amid his legal troubles.

He had sought a pardon from Trump during his time in the White House. Trump never pardoned Exotic.

“According to the book that came out about Trump, they talked about it on Air Force Once and Mark Meadows talked Trump out of it,” said Joe Exotic about the possible reason he didn’t get the pardon.

The Tiger King star is currently running as a Democrat but has not gotten support in the party. His candidacy made no headlines.

Exotic has pleaded to Trump to pardon him on social media if the former president were to be elected to a second term.

Trump had filed to dismiss the federal election case as he argued that the indictments are federal election interference.

Exotic lost an appeal in federal court for the murder-for-hire scheme.
