On November 18, an IBF featherweight eliminator bout between undefeated contender Nick Ball and former WBO super-bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe will take place in Manchester, UK.

Currently Ball, 26, from the U.K. is ranked #1 in the WBC 126-pound division, while Ghanaian Dogboe, 29,  is ranked #2.

With his all-action, take no prisoners approach, Ball (18-0, 11 KOs), one of the most exciting fighters in Britain today, has become a fan favorite over the last 18 months or so.

He consistently drops an incredible amount of leather in his fights. Ball stopped South African Ludumo Lamati in their most recent fight in May.

“It is a good fight, and he has got a similar style to me in that he is small and comes forward,” said Ball in media reports.

“I definitely make myself favourite and always back myself. All my fights have been in London recently so, with this one being in Manchester and only 40 minutes away, my people will all get down and support me. There will be a big interest, and everyone will be taking notice of this one. I am one step away from a world title fight now and within touching distance,” added Ball.

Dogboe (24-3, 15 KOs) last competed in a bout for the vacant WBO featherweight title, losing a 12-round unanimous decision against Robeisy Ramirez.

Dogboe was only stopped once, by Emanuel Navarrete in May 2019. During his two back-to-back fights with Navarrete and Jessie Magdaleno, Dogboe proved his toughness and strength, losing via decision in the first fight and being stopped in the final round of the rematch.

“I know coming off a world title loss, to many, it would’ve sunk them into the abyss,” said Dogboe in media reports.

“But I am still on my feet and God is guiding me day after day. Fighting in a WBC world title eliminator against an opponent like Nick Ball is a wonderful opportunity. He’s a great fighter with a lot of buzz behind him in the UK. This fight is about redemption. I haven’t fought on English soil since I turned pro. My passion for boxing started there, and I can’t wait to return home,” said Dogboe.
