Former Boxing Champion Mike Tyson Joins Ngannou’s Coaching Team For Tyson Fury Fight

Tyson brings his experience and boxing IQ to help Ngannou prepare for the epic showdown in Saudi Arabia.

Mike Tyson the former boxing heavyweight reigning champion is set to join Cameroonian Francis Ngannou’s coaching team as he prepares for his fight with Tyson Fury on 28 October in Saudi Arabia. 

Ngannou, a Cameroonian-French boxer competed in the heavyweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where he was the reigning heavyweight champion.

Ngannou (17-3-0) is reputed to be a devastating puncher in the heavy weight division, with Tyson 57 being distinguished for the same during his time as the reigning world heavyweight champion.

It is no secret I back Ngannou 100 per cent in this face-off of champions, he has one hard punch, and when it lands, it’s game over. I am looking forward to working with Ngannou and supporting his transition from the Octagon to the boxing ring,” said Tyson said on Thursday (3 August) in media reports.

“Bringing Mike Tyson into my training camp is one of the best decisions I can make to prepare for Tyson Fury. Mike Tyson is an idol of mine in the sport, his experience and boxing IQ will be important to honing my technique under his guidance to win this super-fight,” said Ngannou in media reports.

“I’ve been wanting this fight for years, and now that it’s here, I’m focused on fighting the greatest fight of my career and shocking the world on the most epic stage for the fans in Riyadh. On 28 October, the world will know who’s the baddest man on the planet.”
