Disneyland Map Signed By Walt Disney Going Up For Auction

A rare Disneyland map that was signed by Walt Disney and several British film stars is going to auction.

The poster of the California theme park features every ride in the park alongside different animals, boats, carousels and a train.

The map is from 1964 and also includes the signatures of several British film stars including Michael Wilding, Jack Hawkins and Moira Shearer.

The signatures were signed in person for Doreen and Ronald Barnes, who were employed as British actor Sir John Mills’ butler and housekeeper.

Sir John, who starred in adventure film “Swiss Family Robinson,” his family, Doreen and Ronald travelled to Hollywood in 1964, where Walt Disney signed the map for them.

The map will go to auction online through Ewbank’s Auctioneers on August 24 and is estimated to fetch $1,909 to $3,182.

A signed and numbered edition of the Sex Pistols’ ‘God Save the Queen poster’ is also up for auction and it was signed by James Reid, who created it.

It measures 30 x 40 inches overall is estimated to reach around £1,200 ($1,527) when it goes under the hammer.

An original pencil drawing of the virtual band Gorillaz, which was created by Blur singer Damon Albarn and comic book creator Jamie Hewlett is also going to auction.

The band consists of four fictional members, 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs and they create alternative rock, art pop and hip hop music.

A film poster of the film “Dr. No” is also estimated to sell for $15,277 to $22,916 at auction.
