Entrepreneur and VeeFriends founder Gary Vaynerchuk (aka Gary Vee) is further expanding the intellectual property of his NFT collection with a new collaboration with leading shoe company Reebok. The collaboration follows several past deals done by VeeFriends with companies like Jazwares, Macy’s and Toys “R” Us.
What Happened: VeeFriends and Reebok announced a collaboration of the Aspiring Alpaca Classic Nylon shoes on Thursday.
The shoes are inspired by the classic VeeFriends character Aspiring Alpaca, who is featured on the shoes.
“As a 1980s kid and pop culture enthusiast, you can imagine how thrilled I am to collaborate with Reebok,” Vee said. “Everyone in the ‘80s was rocking those iconic sneakers, so I’m incredibly excited to extend VeeFriends to another consumer product like sneakers, which is at the forefront of popular culture.”
Vee can’t wait for everyone to “rock” the new shoes, which pay tribute to the Classic Nylon shoes that debuted in 1991.
The Rebbok x VeeFriends Aspiring Alpaca Classic Nyon shoes have a nylon upper, suede overlays, a VeeFriends logo and the original drawing of Aspiring Alpaca on the tongue.
HZenger News of VeeFriends Aspiring Alpaca Series 1 NFTs will have a free claim on the sneakers. There are 40 Aspiring Alpaca NFTs in the Series 1 collection.
The shoes can also be purchased on the VeeFriends website and the Reebok website beginning August 24, 2023. The new VeeFriends collaborated sneakers have a purchase price of $90.
Why It’s Important: Vee has previously referred to VeeFriends as his Disney or Mickey Mouse, with a goal of scaling the business to new audiences and making the 250-plus characters he personally created recognized worldwide.
The characters in the VeeFriends collection have traits that related to human characteristics and emotion and encourage a positive impact on the world.
Price Action: The VeeFriends Series 1 NFT collection has a floor price of 1.96 Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), or around $3,591.84 at the time of writing. The floor price on the Aspiring Alpaca VeeFriends Series 1 NFT is 6.99 ETH, or around $12,811 at the time of writing.
