Shuchita is a freelance journalist currently based in France. After working with The Times of India in India for 4 years, she moved to France to explore new cultures. Having expertise in beats like Women and Child development, Culture, Travel and Education she is now working on these issues and more in France.
I am Shuchita, a freelance journalist from India based in Bayeux, France. Until September 2020 I was working as a Digital Content Creator and Correspondent for The Times of India, a noted English daily in India.
As a journalist and content creator for TOI, I have three years of experience writing on various issues like wildlife, environment, women and child development, health, culture and community. As a content creator, I also shouldered the responsibility to keep the social media pages like twitter updated and also produced web exclusives along with stories for the print edition.
With an interest for new languages and cultures, I also studied French at Alliance Française de Bhopal and completed the B1 level. Currently, I am based in France as Assistant de langue Anglais in lycée Alain Chartier, Bayeux, Normandie. Utilizing my time in France, I am creating video stories for Alliance Française de Bhopal and Institut Français en Inde that will be showcased on their social media pages and websites for students and youth planning to study and work in France.
Carrying on with journalism, I am also pitching story ideas from France to various websites as a freelance journalist.
Prior to my stint in TOI, I was working as a content coordinator and office assistant for Ayur Gyan Nyas- an upcoming NGO working to make social, emotional, and ethical education an integral part of the curriculum of present education system.
