Onen Solomon
Onen Walter Solomon is a trained Broadcast Journalist. He has been serving in broadcast media since August 1, 2009. He speaks Acholi/Luo language. Walter received his professional training from Multi-Media Training Center (MMTC) in Juba, the then an institution which was run by veteran media professionals of the then Juba Radio. MMTC is now changed into Association of Media Development in South Sudan (AMDISS). He, thereafter, attended several local and international media training by Radio France International (rfi), DW-Akademie, Course on Radio for Developing Countries in China 2011, and JICA. He worked for the then South Sudan Radio (SSR/SSTV) as an Announcer for four years, and reported for SSTV for some months. (SSR/SSTV) is now changed SSBC. He later on worked as an Acting News Editor for 88.4 City FM. Due to the onset of December violence in South Sudan, City FM decided to shut down its news department. Subsequently, Walter had to become a Radio France International (RFI) reporter in South Sudan from 2013 – 2014. He worked as a Journalist for Human Rights (JHR) Media Trainer in 2014 to 2016. In June 2015 to June 2018, he was a German Press Agency (Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH), dpa, reporter. Walter measured in physiotherapy training at USRATUNA and one year in Ecological Studies at Free International University of Moldova (ULIM) Branch in Bor, Jonglei State in 2008. He is an ordinary diploma holder in film acting.
