I am an author-historian-reporter. To the best of my knowledge, I am the only reporter to have worked for most of the world’s major international news wire agencies. Having been a print and broadcast reporter since the age of 16, previous employers include United Press International (UPI); the Associated Press (AP); Deutsche Presse Agentur (DPA); Agence France Presse (AFP); Inter Press Service (IPS); the international news wire service, headquartered in Beijing, China, known as the Xinhua News Agency (XNA);, and The Economist.
